Metaverses

"In the beginning God created media systems for creating spiritual and virtual metaverses and then the universe."

(Derived from reading verses Genesis 1:1-1:29 in Hebrew, the original language of the Bible.)

The most common English translation from Hebrew of the first verse in the Bible is:

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth."

However, this translation ignores a key word repeated twice. It should read:

"In the beginning, God created media systems for creating ET the heavens and ET the earth."

ET is spelled with the Hebrew letters aleph and tav, the first and last letters spanning the 22 letter Hebrew alphabet.

The ET that creates the heavens is a media system made up from all the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet. It is an expression of multiple pathways for creating a Spiritual Metaverse

The ET that creates the earth is identified in verse 4 of Genesis as a binary system:

"God separated between light and darkness."  Light and darkness describes on and off, 1 and 0 -- the binary system that creates the Virtual Metaverse, from the Internet to AI and NFTs.

Watch angels from a Spiritual Metaverse transform into cyberangels in a Virtual Metaverse and on into the Universe of atoms and molecules experienced in everyday life.

The biblical words for angel malakh and food ma'akhal are written with the same four Hebrew letters to teach that angels are spiritual messages arising from everyday life.

This Metaverses blogpost updates my explorations of the interrelationships between virtual metaverse,  spiritual metaverse, and the universe. It begins the introduction of my book in progress Metaverses: Creating Virtual  and Spiritual Worlds.

A number of my earlier books set the stage for my Metaverses book: The Future of Art in a Postdigtial Age: From Hellenistic to Hebraic Consciousness and Educating Artists for the Future: Learning at the Intersections of Art, Science, Technology and Culture (both published by Intellect Books/University of Chicago Press), Through a Bible Lens: Biblical Insights for Smartphone Photography and Social Media (HarperCollins), and in Hebrew Dialogic Art in a Digital World (R. Maas Publishing in Israel).
